With only a few days to go before you cast your vote I would like to give you a final statement on why you should consider voting for me.
Some people have questioned what can a single Independent MSP can do. I pledge to fight for the North East and to support votes that will do the following:
Safe guard the energy, food producers, farming and fishing sectors in the North East
More funding and services for the NHS In both primary and secondary healthcare
Ring fenced and repeat funding for support and interventions for children with additional support needs. Can mobile phones and smart watches in schools
Full and independent Nationwide enquiry into grooming gangs
Improve and afford women more protections across all services
Ensure funding is given to improve existing social housing stock
Protect local democratic planning decisions. Ensure policies are developed on battery storage planning applications.
Deliver an alternative to the council tax and overhaul the business rate system
Create a pathway to support people into work, make work pay
Ensure the police are given the support and powers to do their job, keeping our communities safe
Improve conditions for our armed service personnel and veterans
Fairer funding for Local Authorities
